Recipe:

Ingredients:

  •   1 cup glutinous rice flour
  •   2 tablespoons sugar
  •   1/2 cup water
  •   1/2 cup mung beans, soaked and cooked until soft
  •   1/4 cup sugar
  •   1/2 cup sesame seeds
  •   Oil for deep frying

Instructions:

  1. To make the filling, mash the cooked mung beans and mix with 1/4 cup sugar. Form the mixture into small balls and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, and water to form a smooth dough. Divide the dough into small pieces.
  3. Flatten each piece of dough, place a mung bean ball in the center, and seal the edges, forming a ball.
  4. Roll each ball in sesame seeds to coat.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the sesame balls until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
